1. BARACK OBAMA'S INAUGURATION-Jan. 20
Finally, Barack Hussein Obama will become our 44th president this Tuesday when he is sworn in. Our own Joani Delezen and Sean Boone will be at the inauguration, cold weather be damned. It will be a historic day for our country, and all eyes will be on Washington D.C. as we welcome a new administration to the White House.

2. BRAD PAISLEY 8 p.m.-Jan. 18
Brad Paisley's national tour stops through Pensacola on Sunday. The "Paisley Party Tour" includes special guests Dierks Bentley and Darius Rucker, and is sure to be one of the top country shows of the year. Pensacola Civic Center. $45 and $38.75. ticketmaster.com

3. NFL CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS-2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 18
The NFL playoffs come to a close this week with the conference championship games. At 3 p.m. on Fox, the Arizona Cardinals will host the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC Championship. Then at 5:30 p.m. on CBS, the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC Championship.

4. JUDGE SIDNEY JONES-7 p.m. Jan. 17
UWF will host Judge Sidney Jones III this Saturday evening as part of the John C. Pace Symposium Series Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration. A reception will be held at 6 p.m. before the lecture. His lecture, "Wouldn't He Be Amazed?," will reflect on the legacy of the late Martin Luther King, Jr. UWF Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Building 82. Free. 474-2479

5. LOST-8 p.m. Jan. 21
The best sci-fi/mystery/drama on television returns for the start of its 5th season this Wednesday. This will be the second to last season for "Lost," and fans have been waiting on pins and needles since last season's finale. The season premiere is a two-hour special consisting of two episodes: "Because You Left" and "The Lie." "Lost" airs at 8 p.m. Jan. 21 on ABC.

6. TRISTA BLOUIN EXHIBIT AND RECEPTION-5 p.m. Jan. 15
Photographer Trista Blouin presents an exhibit featuring photos of children interacting. This exhibit comes from her desire to counter the polarization that was occurring during the recent political climate. The series demonstrates what happens when you bring children together from different backgrounds, races, religions, cultures, and family structures. UWF Campus, WUWF Studios. Free. 474-2787

7. Saw V: Director's Cut
This horror franchise has been running thin since the first installment, but nonetheless, there's an audience out there for it. This past year's annual installment, the fifth in the franchise's history, comes to DVD in the form of a director's cut. Fans of sub-par horror rejoice! "Saw V: Director's Cut" hits stores Tuesday, Jan. 20.

8. CORKS N CANVASES BENEFIT-5:30 p.m. Jan. 16
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida presents Corks N Canvases, an art auction and wine tasting fundraiser. 9. MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D-Jan. 16
While it certainly doesn't look like the next "Citizen Kane," this is the first horror film to utilize the new digital 3D technology. As far as cheap gimmicks go, this one is supposed to be fun and effective for what it is. "My Bloody Valentine 3D" debuts in theatres Friday, Jan. 16.

10. WRESTLING-6:30 p.m. Jan. 16
Pro-wrestling comes to the downtown area this Friday night courtesy of Dirty South Professional Wrestling. D.J. Pringle will make his return, as well as The Legend Don Fargo and The Real Legend Killer Ricky Orton. With Mickey Rourke poised to win an Oscar portraying one of these guys, the timing couldn't be better. Knights of Columbus, corner of Palafox and Jackson St. $10: ringside, $5: general admission, Free: kids 5 and under.
