Held on July 1 at the Pensacola Museum of Art, the annual Members’ Juried Exhibition opening reception and awards presentation recognized five overall winners among the 57 artists that were showcased.
This exhibition has been a museum tradition for more than 50 years, and this year the museum saw a record number of entries, many from first-time applicants. More than 70 works of art are on display spanning the entire spectrum of media including painting, photography, marble, and ceramic, among others. The exhibition will run through August 11.
With the exhibition displayed in the Lewis Bear Family Galleries on the first floor, the opening reception and awards presentation was attended by more than 200 guests. The Museum Guild, which hosts the event annually, provided beverages and hors d’oeuvres supplemented by donated pies from Rotolo’s Pizza in Gulf Breeze. Local band, Isles, provided entertainment.
