Nancy LaNasa opened Abhaya Yoga Center six years after practicing in New York City for 20 years. Her center has been a Best of the Coast favorite ever since. Aqua Pool & Patio has grown from a small chemical and bleach company founded in 1949 to a full-service pool and patio business with over 60 employees and two locations. Aqua Pool & Patio maintains or provides chemicals to 90 percent of all commercial pools in the Pensacola/Ft. Walton Beach area and services over 550 residential pools. It has added a designer to their staff to help with patio design and also launched a new in-ground pool construction division. This is the second consecutive year Aqua Pool & Patio has won this category.

Artel Gallery is the only non-profit, all-volunteer experimental art gallery in the region. It is an “art for art’s sake” gallery, exhibiting original edgy art without concern for commercial marketability. Artel hosts several themed exhibitions throughout the year to challenge and inspire artists to create work that is innovative and provocative in technique, media and/or content. Located on the first floor of the historic Escambia County Courthouse, it’s a must-stop on Gallery Nights in downtown Pensacola.
