The Holidays Begin at Alyssa’s

By Jennie McKeon

Be sure to check out Alyssa’s Antique Depot for the Christmas Open House to get into the holiday spirit this weekend.

“During this event we will be showcasing over 25 additional vendors in addition to our wonderful 250-plus current vendors,” said owner, Alyssa Schepper.

Shoppers can expect to get a lot of their holiday shopping done early with items such as repurposed furniture, handcrafted jewelry, art, sculpted hair bows, kids items and clothing. You can also dig for collectible treasures from yard sale vendors.

“Most of the yard sale vendors are folks who are currently on our waiting list for booths,” Schepper explained. “We’ll have folks inside the store, on the porch and even in our ‘outfield’ where there’s lots of space to walk around and enjoy the scenery.”

Schepper is also excited about holiday specific items such as Fall and Christmas wreaths and crocheted hats and scarves.

“Holiday shopping is a great idea at Alyssa’s because we always offer great low prices on one of a kind gifts and collectibles,” she said. “And you can put it on layaway.”

If you miss this event, keep checking the Alyssa’s Home Depot website for more event dates.

“We are planning these Markets all through November and December to help local artisans showcase their merchandise,” Schepper said.
