The 2010 United Way of Escambia County fundraising campaign will begin Monday, Sept. 13. The campaign is an opportunity for local residents to support dozens of health and human service programs within the community priorities of education, financial stability and health.
The community is invited to a public celebration at Sanders Beach Community Center, 913 S. I St., Pensacola, starting at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 15. Gulf Power’s The Resistors band is the featured entertainment. The event is sponsored by International Paper and Publix.
The event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. Guests will have opportunities to meet representatives of dozens of local nonprofit agencies and programs that partner with United Way.
