Hot Times: Discovery Saturday: Hands-On History

Let your creativity come alive during this month’s “Discovery Saturday: Hands-On History” event from 9:15 a.m.–1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18 at the National Naval Aviation Museum. Museum visitors of all ages are invited to join in the fun by leaving a painted handprint on a T-38 Talon airplane during the paint-a-plane event from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Handprints of all sizes and colors will decorate this “Top Gun”-type of aircraft.

Other Discovery Saturday activities include a special FREE showing of the classic IMAX® film “To Fly,” special tours of the Flight Adventure Deck and a special behind the scenes tour of the Ford Tri-Motor aircraft.

9:15 a.m. – FREE showing of IMAX® film “To Fly”
10 a.m.-1 p.m. – Paint-a-Plane event
10 a.m.-1 p.m. – Tours of the Flight Adventure Deck
10 a.m.-noon – Behind the scenes tour of the Ford Tri-Motor aircraft
