Abhaya Yoga Center Hosts Introductory Workshop

Abhaya Yoga Center hosts Dr. Prudence Farrow Bruns, PhD for an Intensive Introductory Workshop on Ayurveda

Abhaya Yoga Center announced today that Dr. Bruns will host a two day introductory workshop to the traditional healing system of ancient India on March 15th and 16th. Abhaya owner, Nancy LaNasa, consistently shares an extensive 27 year knowledge-base and practice of hatha yoga and yogic philosophy with the community.  “Nancy epitomizes the calmness that yoga brings to your spirit without making you feel like you have to be a vegan to get it.  Her expertise and equanimity are exquisite,” says her weekly student, Joe Zarzaur.  Now that Abhaya is partnering with Dr. Bruns and the Dear Prudence Foundation to bring Ayurveda to the community, all of Pensacola and the surrounding areas can benefit from the combination of these two superb and well versed educators.

Ayurveda is an ancient system of health that is still practiced throughout South and Southeast Asia. The term Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word meaning the wisdom (veda) of longevity or life (ayur). Ayurvedic education introduces an individual to his or her own individual doṣas or body type, bringing a greater awareness of personal balance and how to detect and heal imbalance.
