As part of this month’s “Discovery Saturday: Hands-on History” event, the National Naval Aviation Museum will offer a special FREE showing of the classic IMAX® film, “To Fly!” at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18.
A stunning overview of transportation and flight in America, “To Fly!” presents an emotional and visual experience for audiences. Float over the Vermont countryside and Niagara Falls in a balloon, thrill to the spirit of flying from wild barnstorming to the precision of the Blue Angels, and explore the beauties of flight with a cross-country cruise, hang-gliding in Hawaii and a rocket lift-off.
Other Discovery Saturday activities include the paint-a-plane event, special tours of the Flight Adventure Deck and a special behind the scenes tour of the Ford Tri-Motor aircraft.
