What was most memorable about your proposal?
CHRISTINE: That it was unexpected. We had built our relationship on a long distance foundation. When I came to visit him in Florida, we had been together five months and he got down on one knee at the beach unexpectedly and proposed.
JESSE: I had pretty much given up on love. Then an angel came into my life and gave me hope. Our love is the kind that makes most people gag. It was in Destin, at a hotel that overlooked the beach. After I proposed she was so happy that we literally cried and hugged for 30 minutes straight.
Why do you want to have a Block Party Wedding?
JESSE: We know firsthand as wedding photographers how expensive weddings can be. I think it would be great to save that money and be able to share the experience with our friends and family. Plus, we are newer to the area so it would also be a great way to meet a lot a people and integrate ourselves into Pensacola society.
CHRISTINE: This way we would be able to share the experience with friends and family who wouldn’t be able to be there otherwise.
If you don’t win, where and when do you plan on tying the knot?
CHRISTINE: We are planning to have our wedding privately the first weekend in September in Louisville at his parents’ house if this doesn’t work out.
What does a typical “date night” look like for you?
CHRISTINE: Going out to a restaurant. Then coming home and taking a walk and being by ourselves.
Important reception question—Wobble, Cupid Shuffle, Electric Slide, Harlem Shake (or all of the above)?
JESSE: Wobble for sure.
CHRISTINE: I agree.
