Cover Story: IN’s Month of Lunches

Lunch Picks to Get you Through October’s 21 Work Days
By IN Staff

It’s so easy to get caught in a rut when it comes to lunch. However, the greater Pensacola area has an excellent selection of lunch spots with prices that can fit nearly anyone’s budget. Our picks range from $5.95 (Sidelines’ Taco Salad) to $14.95 (The Fish House’s Grits a Ya Ya).

Spice up your regular sandwich selections. There are plenty of options, such as Ever’man Deli’s Thai Tuna Burger ($6.99), Cactus Flower’s California Torta Sandwich ($8.95), Nancy’s Haute Affairs’ Turkey on Multigrain ($7.95) and Hub Stacey’s Downtown Hub Club ($8.99).

The salad selection is just as appetizing, with choices like Ragtyme Grill’s Cosmopolitan ($8.99) and Jackson’s Steakhouse’s Salmon Salad ($13.25). These aren’t your grandma’s salads.

Plus, there are a few surprises you won’t to miss, such as The Oar House’s Crab Cakes ($11.99 on Wednesdays only), Native Café’s Original Florida Fish Tacos ($8.95 and a locals’ favorite), Cajun Specialty Meats’ Sloppy Broussard ($8.99), Dharma Blue’s Grilled Steak and Shrimp with Linguini ($13.99) and Five Sisters Blues Café’s Aunt Sara’s Southern Fried Chicken ($7.99).

When someone asks where you want to eat lunch, pull out this handy guide. We’ll be sitting by the kitchen when you get there.
