Nationally renowned watercolor artist Paul Jackson has gathered donations of artwork from artists around the country who wish to help rescue wildlife along the Gulf Coast in the wake of the BP oil spill disaster.
He and his wife Marla have teamed up with Evan Levin to show and auction the artwork at Gallery 11 on Oct. 14. All proceeds from the event will benefit Emerald Coastkeepers in Pensacola. The public is invited to attend.
Paul Jackson, of Columbia, Missouri, is well known for his vibrant watercolors that seem to defy what is possible with the medium. His paintings have been used as the poster for the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival and Springfest, as illustrations for the Pensacola Junior League cookbook, and the design for the Missouri State Quarter.
