Each year the Waterfront Rescue Mission joins with the EscaRosa Coalition on the Homeless to take part in National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (NHHAW). A full week of activities has been planned during Nov. 14-20 to focus on creating increased awareness of the plights of so many in our community who are struggling with homelessness.
It is hoped that these special events will lead to an increased understanding of how and why individuals and families become homeless, and spark innovative solutions to the problems facing the homeless and poor in our community at the same time. Your participation each day this week will help!
