Hot Times: Upcoming Programs at Running Wild

RUNNING WILD ANNOUNCES SERIES OF FALL PROGRAMS
INCLUDING MY FIRST 5K, MY FIRST 10K AND HALF MARATHON TRAINING
Registration is now open for all events

Running Wild has announced its popular fall line-up including “My First 5k,” designed specifically for beginning runners, “My First 10k,” designed for runners who have completed at least one 5k and are ready for the next challenge, and the “Half Marathon Training,” for runners who wish to increase distance and run a half marathon.

About My First 5k (Bayou Hills):
More than just a running program, “My First 5k,” will teach you how to safely train to run a 5k race in 12 weeks. You will learn how to make all the necessary lifestyle changes to make fitness and running a regular part of your life. Registration is $250 and included in the cost are coached weekly training sessions, nutrition plan, monthly seminars on related topics, a technical running shirt, a properly fit pair of running shoes (up to $140), entry fee into the target race and more! The first practice is on Dec. 27 and the race day is on Mar. 19.

The group trains together on Monday and Wednesday. The morning session will meet at 9:30a.m. and the evening session will meet at 5:30p.m. Class lasts one hour and there are three scheduled Saturday sessions. Workouts begin and end on time. There are no training pre-requisites for this class. A willing attitude and a readiness for change is all that is required. Runners must be 18 years or older. There will be no baby joggers, bicycles or pets allowed at training sessions.

About My First 10k (Bayou Hills):
Designed for the runner who has completed at least one 5k and is ready for the next challenge. This program will teach you to safely increase distance to comfortably run six miles and to continue regular, injury free running. Registration is $250 ($109 for Alumni) and includes coached weekly training sessions, monthly seminars on related topics, a technical running shirt, a properly fit pair of running shoes (up to $140), entry fee into target race and more! The first practice is on Dec. 27 and the race day is on Mar. 19.

The group trains together on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30p.m. to 6:30p.m. There will also be three scheduled Saturday sessions. Workouts begin and end on time from Running Wild Pensacola. Participants must be able to run three miles comfortably, without stopping, in at least 45 minutes. Runners must be 18 years or older. There will be no baby joggers, bicycles or pets allowed at training sessions.

About Half Marathon Training (Gulf Coast Half Marathon):
The training program is designed for runners who wish to increase distance and run a half marathon. This program will teach you to safely increase distance to comfortably run 13.1 miles and to continue regular, injury free running. Registration fee is $175 and includes coached weekly training sessions, a weekly training schedule, $20 coupon for a pair of running shoes, monthly seminars on related topics, a technical running shirt, entry fee into the Gulf Coast

Half Marathon and more!
The group trains together on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30p.m. to 6:30p.m. Workouts begin and end on time from Running Wild Pensacola. Participants need to be running (at least) 15 miles per week for the previous six weeks prior to December 28th. Runners must be 18 years or older. There will be no baby joggers, bicycles or pets allowed at training sessions. The first practice will be held on Dec. 28 and the race day is on Apr. 10.
