Local Social Media Influencers You Should Be Following
By Joani Delezen, Stephanie Sharp and Sammi Sontag

It’s hard to be unique on social media. It’s even harder when you’re a blogger who’s trying to stand out in a crowded field like tech or health and fitness. That task goes from hard to almost impossible when you’re trying to carve out a niche from a town like Pensacola that isn’t exactly known for its creative online community.

But if you’re willing to keep scrolling and look beyond the sea of beach photos, you’ll find some locals with serious talent who are making a name (and in some cases a job) for themselves online.

For this issue, we wanted to highlight a select few of those social media influencers who are making Pensacola proud by producing great content and reaching audiences well beyond the Gulf Coast.

Some are local-centric like Instagrammer James Moore and Mayor Hayward and his social media team. Both of those accounts regularly showcase our city in unique and double-tap worthy ways. Others are just great blogs that happen to be produced by locals, like Jasmine Jefferson’s Jaiologie.com, which is a style, beauty and travel blog for women of color.

These influencers show the many ways you can share your passions and build community online while being true to yourself. We hope you find something or someone worth following in this collection of creatives. We certainly did.
