Imagine having a few drinks, socializing with fellow colleagues, and hearing the 18 most innovative ideas your community has to offer in just a few hours on a Tuesday night… Yeah, that’s what Ignite Pensacola is all about.
What is Ignite Pensacola? Ignite is a series of 5 minute talks given by people in your community that have an idea and the courage to share it. Each speaker is given 20 slides, 15 seconds each, to help convey their message. Topics range from technical innovations and environmental issues to how great beer is and why you love your cat. The fast paced format creates dynamic presentations that entertain and raise the collective I.Q.
Why Ignite? Ignite gives people the opportunity to share something they’re passionate about in a fun and relaxed setting. The 5 minutes really helps speakers draw on their most important points. Since there is no specific topic it allows people to cross social and cultural barriers and hear ideas they never would have otherwise. Ignite is a way to help expose the pockets of ingenuity hidden in the woodwork of Pensacola. It’s also a fantastic way to socialize. All the creativity in the room makes for great conversation over drinks with friends. Finally, the power of the Global Ignite Network gives the average person an above average chance at reaching a word wide audience. The bottom line is it’s a lot of fun and there’s no reason not to!
