Former Miss University of Alabama purchases Pensacola’s TWO MEN AND A TRUCK

From Miss University of Alabama to a franchisee of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Leila Holley knows she’s up for anything in her lasted endeavor.

Holley, and her business partner David Richardson recently purchased the Pensacola office of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. She will manage the day-to-day operations.

“When my business partner first approached me about the possibility of a moving franchise, I laughed,’’ Holley said. “I am the girliest of girls. However, after review the company’s Core Values of integrity, giving back, treating everyone as you would want your grandma to be treated and being our best while having fun, I knew it was a perfect match.”
Then, when her husband got a new job in Mobile, Ala., Holley knew it was meant to be. She and her family recently moved to the area from Tuscaloosa, Ala. Holley comes to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK from a background in Abuse Prevention. That experience will benefit her as she runs her business, she said.

“Management is management and People are People,’’ Holley explained.

Trading in her stilettos for flats, this former Miss University of Alabama (a Preliminary to Miss America) is anything but a push over.

“I expect the best from our employees, and expect them to live out our Core Values,’’ she said. “Not unlike my work with children and families, you have to know that every situation is different and every customer should be treated like they are special, because they are special!”

Moving is one of the most stressful experiences in life. Holley said her background in social services helps her better serve her customers.

“Everyone who calls our office seems to have a story about why they are moving,’’ she said. “They are experiencing a major life event .. new babies, jobs lost, deaths in the family, being transferred, bought or built a new home, getting a divorce, moving into a retirement home, etc. It has actually been surprising how much I have used my Social Services experience when speaking with customers.”
