Hot Times: Festival On the Green

The University of West Florida announces the 11th Edition of the Festival On the Green, Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd.  This year’s festival will feature over 20 venues with events such as, Time Portal to the Past, Time Portal to your Future (Including UWF Showcase and Open House at the New Science & Engineering Building), the International Village, NCAA division II Men’s and Women’s events including baseball and softball matches.  We will also have exhibition rugby championship match and a Triathlon (Short course). We are also very proud to present several “Off the Green” events including: the Theatre production of “Brigadoon” with shows in April and teasers during the festival on our Entertainment stage, and the National Phillips Jazz Piano competition taking place at the Sanger Theatre Friday, April 1, and Radio Live (Downtown at the Museum of Commerce).   We will once again welcome thousands new guest and visitors to our premiere community relations event.

We are proud to welcome back all our community favorite venues including Fine Arts Show, Crafts Show, Student Art Gallery & Show, Dog Agility and Fly ball, Run with  your dog benefit event, Society for Creative Anachronism village, Regional Motor Cycle show, Children’s Fair; 3 stages (Music Entertainment Windows Open Air, and International) Pace Library book sale, Student Life Expo (over 30 exhibits), Senior Fest event, Alumni Awards Dinner Program, UWF Honors Convocation, and our festival dinning partners.

The festival has something for everyone from children to seniors, with events for those who enjoy casual pace to the excitement of sports competition.  Our team will work all year to prepare to welcome our community to the ‘Festival On the Green’ April 1st (Starting at 12:00 Noon) and April 2nd (Starting at 10:00am) on the beautiful campus of the University of West Florida in Pensacola.  The main Festival is free and everyone is welcomed.
