Hot Times: PMA Lecture Series Tonight

The lecture series at Pensacola Museum of Art continues tonight
The topic: “Roman and Etruscan Art…who knew?”

Please join Krist Lien, Director of the Visual Arts Department at Pensacola State College as he presents “Roman and Etruscan Art…who knew?”

Krist Lien received his BFA, with a concentration in sculpture, from Auburn University and an MFA in sculpture, with a minor in painting, from the University of Alabama. His work is in various collections in the U.S. and England. Krist has taught at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Montevallo. He was department chair at Livingston University, Shelton State Community College, and now Pensacola State College. Since moving to Pensacola he has judged exhibitions at Artel Gallery, Quayside Gallery, the member’s show at the Pensacola Museum of Art, Bay River Art Guild in Daphne, Alabama, Art in the Park in Foley, Alabama, the Gulf Breeze Arts Festival, and juried the Greater Gulf Coast Arts Festival.

The PMA lecture series, now open to the public, was previously reserved exclusively for members of the Museum’s docent (tour guide) program. Covering a broad range of topics, these lectures are presented monthly on the 2nd Thursday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Museum Assembly Room. Admission is free. RSVP to (850)432-6247 is requested.
