The Pensacola entertainment community mourns the passing of Rachel Holder, one of the most genuinely nice and caring people one could hope to meet, as well as a true blue supporter of entertainment of all fashions in our city. Holder lost a battle with heart complications late Sunday evening. She was just 36.
Rachel was well known and beloved within the underground music scene, as well as by most anyone who has ever had the pleasure of meeting her. Whether it be hanging out at the end of the bar at Handlebar, showing love to all of the bands that came through, none more than Unnatural Soundz, pulling up a chair and laughing at a comedy show, or simply hanging out anywhere, Rachel had a smile and a hug for everybody and never made anybody feel like anything less than family. There is a great sadness over her passing, and you can look for some events to be set up in her honor very soon, as she was a very important figure in the entertainment realm. Nobody went to more shows and showed more support for the arts in our community than she did, and she will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Services are currently being arranged.

“That though the radiance which was once so bright be now forever taken from my sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower. We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind.”
- William Wordsworth
