Culture Club

The Pensacola Museum of Art will host Culture Club on Thursday, Sept. 1, 5 to 7:30 pm.

September’s  featured artist is Philip Counselman, Visual Arts Professor, University of Mobile.

Music will be provided by The Fellow Travelers, known for the unique sound of their handmade cigar box guitars.

And on the menu: Gourmet eats from The Leisure Club.

Culture Club is a free, dynamic monthly social gathering targeted at the “21-45-ish” crowd.   Each month features a one night “mini-exhibition” by an emerging, award-winning visual artist and live musical entertainment.  An alternative to the bar scene, Culture Club offers complimentary beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres.

September’s Culture Club raffle prizes include a Starbucks gift basket provided by International Paper, a gift certificate and book from Dee McDavid Interiors and more.  Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Museum memberships are also available at the event.

Culture Club is a 21-and-up event and ID is required. Admission is free with a business card or by signing in with an email address.

Culture Club is held at the the Pensacola Museum of Art, 407 South Jefferson Street, Pensacola.

Museum hours: Tues. – Fri. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sat. and Sun. 12 to 5 p.m. Closed Mondays.  Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students and active duty military.  Admission is free on Tues.
